Horse sculptures near my hotel in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Lake Washington in Renton, Washington. My hotel was beside the Boeing factory, & a green 737 off to the left. The green on the plane is an anti-corrosion coating.

I’m having to remind myself that the AirPods case isn’t a fidget toy.

    Flying around Mt. Rainier.

Aspen—our 8 month old Goldendoodle puppy—doesn’t care that Jewel’s bed is way too small. Jewel is a 10 year old Maltese that weighs 7 pounds, Aspen weighs 50 pounds.

Just finished watching A Dog’s Journey. It’s a good movie. I may or may not have teared up watching it. 🍿🎥

Speaking of tv shows and movies, I’m really looking forward to No Time to Die (Bond 25). I was excited about before I found out who was who directing it. I’m a big fan of Cary Joji Fukunaga, who directed True Detective season 1, and was writer, director, & cinematographer of Beasts of No Nation. 🍿

It’s that time of year to start keeping an eye on the tropics. I’m keep an eye on a system off the coast of Florida. It may develop into a tropical depression, and track just offshore of North Carolina. This is why I love Slack’s Twitter integration. I get a notification for new tweets from the National Hurricane Center, and they stay where I can see them.

We finished Season 2 of Mindhunter on Netflix last night. It was really good. I’m also looking forward to the new seasons of The Man in The High Castle, and Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime. Oh, and season 6 of Bosch (it comes out in 2020, so I’ve got some time to wait for it)

Enjoying a lazy day at home with the family before the kids start school next week.

Santa Barbara, California. The beach was
a 10 minute walk from the airport. I know I looked odd walking the beach in my pilot uniform but I didn’t care.

I finished initial training on the new airplane this week—recurrent training takes place every 6-9 months. Less time off as I was hoping over the next 2 weeks while I transtion to my 7 days on/7 days off schedule, but my 7&7 line has Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas off.
